eClips Ireland Overview
The NLA is pleased to announce the launch of a new service, eClips Ireland. eClips Ireland has been designed in conjunction with Irish media monitoring agencies to assist them to quickly and easily deliver (in electronic format) the Irish editions of key UK newspapers (as well FT, Belfast Telegraph and NewsLetter) to their customers.
eClips Ireland offers;-
- Eire and Ulster editions of The Times, Sunday Times, The Sun, News of the World, Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People. Also includes the Financial Times, Belfast Telegraph and NewsLetter.
- For Users; simple, online, licensing agreement that gives users the rights to view NLA articles on screen and print one copy.
- For media monitoring agencies; full text delivery (in XML), with links to full colour PDFs of the article as they appeared in the newspaper.
- Proven UK eClips technology (24 agencies around the world use eClips already).
The eClips Ireland End User Licence Agreement will cover the needs of many clients of Irish press cuttings agencies; however clients who require copying rights from a broader content set of NLA newspapers or further copying rights will require a standard NLA licence. In the Republic of Ireland, any paper copies made of NLA material should be reported to NLI.
